Lynn Noel will be presenting "Trends in the Digital Workplace for SharePoint and Office 365"

Session Abstract

This session will introduce the emerging concept of the digital workplace, how Microsoft is positioning Office 365 as a turnkey enterprise platform for the digital workplace, and what Office 365 means for SharePoint and intranet teams. We will discuss how the digital workplace expands the scope of enterprise intranets and extranets to encompass mobile, unified communications, cloud file sharing, and machine learning, and explore what on-premise SharePoint teams need to know about Office 365 and key business stakeholders to evolve their role into vision leaders for the digital workplace.

About the Speaker

Lynn Noel is an independent digital workplace strategist with Digital Ecology Consulting and a researcher for the Digital Workplace Group. She is the author of DWG's “The Office 365 Intranet,” a research paper on platform strategy for Microsoft’s digital workplace offering. 

Lynn is an enterprise architect and collaboration thought leader with 15+ years experience in SharePoint and Microsoft technologies. As Director of Collaboration Services at NTT DATA, Inc., she led the design and consolidation of 7 corporate intranets into a global social intranet and extranet platform integrated with CRM and ERP systems for 20,000 users worldwide. She has a mini-masters in User Experience Design from Rutgers University and a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and is a former Research Fellow of Dartmouth College. Lynn has been an ECM chair of the SHARE Business Users Conference and led outreach and education tours to India and Japan for enterprise collaboration and knowledge management.
